Village Outbuildings
The outbuildings in the Carl J. McEwen Historic Village tell the continuing tale of rural life. What was happening in this area of the country was likely happening throughout the new south. Farmers were raising livestock, planting crops and doing their best to keep the family fed. Meat curing buildings, corn cribs, barns and the necessary house were on every farmer’s land.
