The Mint Hill Historical Society is delighted to invite you to a truly special holiday tradition — the Mint Hill Holiday Home Tour — on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This year’s tour features the stunningly decorated home of Mark and Shay Gladden, along with Mark’s mother, Helen, who together have turned holiday decorating into an art form that captures the joy, warmth, and meaning of the season.
The Gladdens’ love for Christmas is rooted in celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, while also embracing the beauty of traditional festivities. Over the years, this passion has grown into a breathtaking display featuring 28 uniquely decorated full-size trees, each with its own theme and personality. Guests will also see three cozy fireplaces for Santa to choose from, plus numerous custom-decorated trees that fill the home with sparkle and charm.
From shimmering ornaments to thoughtful, intricate details, every room is a visual feast that will inspire your own holiday decorating. The variety of trees — from whimsical to elegant — offers something for every style and taste, making this tour a treat for both Christmas enthusiasts and casual admirers alike.
Tickets are a $25 donation and can be purchased at the Mint Hill Historical Society, located at 7601 Matthews Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. Proceeds from the event support the Historical Society’s work to preserve and share the rich history of our community.
Don’t miss your chance to step into a holiday wonderland and experience the Gladdens’ labor of love firsthand. For more information or to reserve your ticket, call 704-573-0726 or email historical@bellsouth.net. This is the perfect way to celebrate the season, create lasting memories, and support a great cause.
